Lava Thunder Play & Lava Thunder Lite
Lava Storm Play 5G and Storm Play Lite 5G
Lava is all set to introduce its new mid-range smartphone, the Storm Play 5G, which will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7060 processor. It’s expected to be paired with LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, offering a solid mix of speed and efficiency. According to leaks, the device may feature a 6.78-inch display with a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, along with a 50MP main rear camera.

A teaser image shared by the brand gives us a look at the design — the phone appears in a bold blue finish, highlighted by a white stripe running down the center of the back panel. The rear camera module has two circular lenses and an LED flash, while the power button and volume controls are positioned on the right side of the frame.

Lava is also preparing to launch a lighter version, the Storm Lite 5G. While it may share the same 6.78-inch 120Hz LCD display, it’s expected to pack 6GB of RAM, 128GB of internal storage, and run on the newly launched MediaTek Dimensity 6400 chipset. This processor is the direct successor to the Dimensity 6300 and is making its Indian debut with this phone.

The Storm Lite teaser reveals a gold-and-white color scheme and a squircle-shaped camera bump. It carries two circular cameras with gold accents, alongside a flash. A “50MP” label suggests that it might feature the same primary camera sensor as the Storm Play 5G.
Both smartphones will be available for purchase on Lava’s official online store and Amazon India. While exact pricing hasn’t been announced yet, both devices are expected to be priced below ₹20,000, placing them squarely in the mid-range category.

In other updates from the company, Lava recently launched the Bold N1 Pro, an entry-level smartphone priced under ₹7,000. It comes with an IP54 rating for dust and water resistance and is powered by an octa-core UNISOC T606 processor, making it a solid choice for budget-conscious buyers.
